TRANSTASMAN AIR TERMINAL
A MATTER FOR EXPERTS [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 30. Referring to the terminal for the transtasman service, when speaking today at a luncheon tendered by the. Wellington Chamber of Commerce ‘to the directors and officers of Union Airways Ltd., in appreciation of the establishment of a Wellington-Auck-land service, the Postmaster-General (Hon. F. Jones) said that a decision had not yet been made. Wellington’s claims would be given due weight, but the decision was definitely one for experts, who would particularly take into account the paramount question of safety. The part that the Government was taking in the encouragement of aviation, in the construction of aerodromes, the training of pilots, the provision of radio, meteorological, and postal facilities, and the examination of machines was outlined by the Minister, who conveyed the congratulations of the Government to Union Airways.
