FIRE DESTROYS SCHOOL RECORDS
MARIST BROTHERS' NARROW ESCAPE [Per United Press Association.] WANGANUI, June 30. Early this morning a Sre whics started in the study gutted the Maxist Brothers’ living quarters attached t* the school at the corner of Wicksteed and Dublin streets. Water also flooded the classrooms, which could not be used to-day. The library and all the school f records were destroyed. Brothers Oswyn, Sylvester, and. Brended were sleeping on the premises and had narrow • escapes, having ta make their way out of a window on to a steep iron roof over the classroom, which, owing to frost, was very slippery at the time.
