DISTRIBUTION OF MEAT
The Mayor’s Relief Organisation has received authority from the Department of Labour, Wellington, to make a further distribution of meat during the next three months. Arrangements have been completed with the Methodist Central Mission to distribute same through its depot. _ Beef only will be distributed, and it is proposed to make the following charges for same:—Roasts and steak, 2Jd per lb; all other, 2d per lb. This meat is available to all registered unemployed and their dependents, and it is proposed to commence distribution tomorrow. All persons intending to take advantage of the distribution should make immediate application to the Mission Depot in Stuart street for the necessary meat card.
