Sarazcn and Shute match was halved; Alhss and Burton defeated Picard and Revolta, 2 and, 1; Guldahl and Manero defeated Lacey and Cox, 2 and 1; Dudley and Wilson defeated Padgham and Cotton, 4 and 2. A howling south-west wind and a baked course made conditions difficult on the Southport course. • Tremendous galleries followed each match. WOMEN'S CRICKET ENGLAND BEATS AUSTRALIA Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, June 29. (Received June 30, at 1 p.m.) In the women’s cricket test, Australia in the second innings made 126 (Holmes 33, Pritchard 41, George 34; Hide five for 20, Whelan three for 45, Maclagen two for 29). England in the second innings made 231 (Maclagen 49, Hide 31, Lowe 57; M’Larty two for 25,-Antonio five.for 31)., England won by 25 runs. [Australia won the first test.]
