STOCK EMBARGO
NEW ZEALAND'S ACTION REGRETTED Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright v LONDON, June 29. (Received June 30, at 12.45 p.m.) Regret that the New Zealand embargo on stock from Britain had not been lifted was expressed by Mr G. B. Dermer, leader of the New Zealand and South African farmers who are touring Europe, when speaking at a luncheon tendered to the party by Thomas Cook and Son. “ 1 think it a great mistake that New Zealand is not opening her doors to cattle from England,” he said. “ Many people at Home are adopting the wrong attitude. The party hopes to inspect the quarantine station here and gather vital information concerning the question of removing the ban.” Mr W. J. Jordan and officials of the company referred to the value of such tours, and hoped that this one would be followed by others.
