(Received June 30, at 10.30 a.m.) A message from Johnstown states that two mysterious explosions cut off the main water supply to the Bethlehem steel plant' and forced suspension of operations in the middle of the bacfc-to-wofk movement which the company claimed had restored operations to normal. Investigators said that dynamite had apparently been placed under the stone water tunnels in the mountains a few miles from the city. The blast shattered windows in homes within a quarter of a mile radius. There was no one injured. The strike leaders denied responsibility, and said they deplored the incident. Two hundred soldiers have been assign ed to guard the highways and search all motor vehicles. A military investigation has been ordered at the plant, which is expected to shut down for a fortnight. (Received June 30, at 11.65 a.m.) The wool strike, which is now affecting the .entire Atlantic coast, has spread to the Great Lakes and Gulf of Mexico ports, where the longshoremen have. been instructed not to handle wool consigned to Boston. Six public warehouses and 25 dealers’ houses are closed here as a result of the strike. Four major shipping companies are refusing to accept further wool shipments marked for Boston.
