PROMISING BRITISH NEGOTIATIONS TWO NEW 25,000-TON LINERS Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright QUEBEC, June 25. Sir Edward Beatty, on returning from London, reports that the shipping subsidy negotiations between Canada and Australia are satisfactory, and will reach a stage shortly that will permit an agreement for two new fast, up-to-date steamers of 25,000 tons and a speed of 22 knots. He hopes these will be in service in two years.
