TO POPULATE DOMINION

SCHEME TO AROUSE PUBLIC CONSCIENCE [Per United Press Association.] HAMILTON, Juno 28. A scheme designed to arouse the public conscience to the urgent need of increasing the New Zealand birth rate has been conceived by Mr D. V. Bryant, of Hamilton. Mr Bryant considers that the need for further population in New Zealand is of paramount importance and considers that New Zealanders have no right to hold land unless prepared to make the fullest use of it. His idea is by propaganda and organisation to bring about widespread recognition of the vital need of arresting the rapid fall in the birth rate. To this end he hopes to form an organisation with headquarters at Wellington and branches throughout the Dominion.
