RAIN DELAYS DISCHARGE

WANGANELLA SAILS WITH CARGO UNLOADED [Pee United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, June 27 Between 400 and 500 tons of inward cargo were carried back to Sydney by the Huddart, Parker motor liner Wanganella, which left Auckland at 5 o’clock on Saturday afternoon. Rain on Saturday prevented all cargo work on the waterfront, although labour had been engaged for three hours in the morning for the Wanganella. Very little outward cargo was . taken by the motor liner, the company being forced to shut out consignments to meet the convenience of passengers and mails. The Wanganella was despatched on time. The wet weather resulted in delays to the Northern Steamship Company’s vessels, and the departure of the Union Company’s Waipiata for Wellington was ~ postponed until to-morrow.
