THE CHARITY BALL
The executive in charge of tho arrangements for the charity ball has endeavoured to avoid disappointing intending patrons by advising the early purchase of tickets, and the unprecedented demand of the past few days indicates that its efforts hav'e_ been appreciated by the public. A limited number of tickets are still available, but on their disposal the box office at the D.I.C. will be unable to accommodate later applicants. No doubt, owing to tho spectacular tableau promised, by the presentation of the unusually large number of debutantes, the reservation of gallery seats has been exceptionally brisk, and non-dancing patrons are advised to avail themselves of the box plan as early as possible.
