MUSSELBURGH SCHOOL
The monthly meeting of the Musselburgh School Committee was held during the week, Mr H. Johnson occupying the chair. The head master reported that the roll number for the end of the term stood at 528, with an average attendance of 95 per cent. Owing to illness, the attendance was slightly below that of the previous month. Miss Cowan was absent through illness, and her place had been filled temporarily by Miss Lauren. The winter sports programme was working satisfactorily, the basketball and football teams showing good form. Although 18 new jerseys had been bought, the supply was still very short, and distribution to the children had been suspended in the meantime. ' The Visiting Committee reported the buildings ancf grounds to bo in fair order, and that some necessary work would be carried out during the vacation next month. To enable the school to participate in the educational sessions, it was decided to install a new wireless system. Accounts amounting to £l4 7s lid were passed for payment.
