-Vice-regal.— After visiting Reefton and Waiut'a' and inspecting the Blackwater mine, which the Minister of Mines (Hon. P. ; C. Webb) descended, the • GovernorGeneral (Viscount Galway) arrived at Greymouth last evening and was tendered a civic reception, which was largely attended. Addresses wero given by the mayor (Mr W. Meldrum,; S.M.), Mr Webb, and Mr J. O’Brien,; M.P. Lord Galway expressed his intention of revisiting the West Coast with Lady Galway later this year. —Ministerial.— Tho Acting Prime Minister (Hon. P. Fraser) will be among the passengers in the inaugural trip of the AucklandWellington. air service to-morrow. Mr Fraser has business to transact in. Auckland during the week-end, and on Monday ho will leave for Whangarei, where he will open the Winter Show. Mr J. B. Waters was presented with a mahogany china cabinet by the Harbour Board last night in appreciation of his services as chairman. In making the presentation, Mr W. Begs (chairman) eulogised Mr Waters for his_ industry and diligence and tha satisfaction which he had given every member during his two years of office.' Mr A. H.
