(Received Juno 25, at 11 a.m.) A large crowd farewellcd Mr Savage at Liverpool street station, and sang “ For he’s a jolly good fellow ” and cheered. Mr Chamberlain’s private secretary brought a message of “ God-speed.” In a farewell statement to the British Press Mr Savage thanked the Government on behalf of the delegation and all New Zealanders for its generous hospitality. He regretted, owing to pressure of work, that he was unable to accept the host of invitations from all parts of the United Kingdom.
