CITRUS FRUIT EMBARGO
DISCUSSED BY AUSTRALIAN GROWERS EFFORTS TO END DEADLOCK ' Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, June 24. The New Zealand embargo on citrus fruits was vigorously debated at the annual conference of the Fruitgrowers’ Federation in Sydney to-day. The conference expressed appreciation of the work done in New Zealand by their president and secretary, Messrs Hean© and Herrod, and decided to bring pressure on politicians to permit a proportion of New Zealand potatoes to enter Australia. The conference was convinced that once New Zealand potatoes were allowed into Australia the embargo on citrus fruit in New Zealand would disappear. '
