TOO MUGH HOSPITALITY THE HANAfiER'S INSTRUCTIONS [Pbk United Press Association.] SYDNEY, June 23. According to the 'newspapers, the Springboks have not yet recovered from their decisive defeat last Saturday. They are _ repeated _ hints that the overwhelming hospitality lavished upon them was largely responsible, _ _ . , . The manager (Mr Percy Day) hasent a letter to all, the members or the team politely requesting them to be in their hotel not later than 11.15 epch night. They are to proceed direct to the rooms, and are not to enter the ; lounge. The players are requested to be in bed not later than 10 p.m. on the night before a match, and are specially enjoined to smoke and drink as little as possible, so as to ensure fitness. The captain (Philip Nel) is taking the team for a car ride to the bush in the forenoon next Saturday, to enable the players to escape from longwinded people who ,do nothing, but talk Rugby. Nel. insists that the players must get away from the football atmosphere. Twenty-seven of the Springboks had a valuable practice yesterday arid to-day. The players included M. Hester, who showed no sign of Saturday’s injury.
