TRAIL OF STOLEN CARS
CONVERSION AND BURGLARY x [Per United Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, June 23. The conversion of three cars and a burglary at Fox’s store, Okato, from which a safe containing cash and cheques was stolen, were admitted by Henry, J. A. Lomax, aged 19, and Phillip Daniel Trainer, aged 24, _ in the Police Court to-day. Exchanging one car for another when the petrol was exhausted, they travelled from Auckland to Wellington, robbing the store en route, and were arrested on hoard the Maunganui when about to leave for Sydney. The two men were committed to the Supreme Court at Christchurch for sen-
tence. On a charge of converting a car at Auckland they were remanded to appear there to-morrow.
