(Received June 23, at 10 a.m.) The libel action brought by Hail# Selassie against the ‘Evening Stan, dard ’ was settled in the law The action concerned the Emperor’s alleged imprisonment and ill-treatment of Has Hailu, who stated that he had been , released from chains a cripple when Selassie left the country. The defendants were satisfied that the story was untrue and apologised. They were ordered to pay costs.
