CYCLISTS AND THE TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.
TO THX KDITOX. Sir,—While motoring to my office about a quarter to 8 this morning I was astounded at the absence of road sense of cyclists, who I noticed were riding three and four abreast, crossing to their right without giving any indication, by way of extending an arm, and,‘in,short, shattering all rum* and regulations set out in the traffia regulations. 1 saw several very hear escapes from smashes caused by these inconsiderate, cyclists, who seemed to think no one had a right to the road but themselves. If the traffic inspectors could possibly patrol Cumberland street between Anderson’s _ Bay road and Lower Rattray street just before 8 . a.m. and see for themselves what the motorist has to put up with, X think there would be a few fines imposed upon cyclists, which would perhaps teach them to keep to_ th® l * 1 own side of the road and leave a little room for a motor to pass.—l am, etc., June 23.
