ORPHANS’ CLUB

An enjoyable social function held in Victoria Hall last evening by the Dunedin Orphans’ Club. Bro. Dr E. R, Harty was in tho chair, and there was a large attendance, including several visitors from the North Island and one from. London. Musical items and a talk by Mr. H. Ninnis on broadcasting affairs, which.was listened to with tho closest attention, comprised the evening's programme. Items were presented by the following:—Bros. R. E. M'Dougall, A. Macdonald, J. Gordon, E. Ottrey, E. A. Bolwfell, R. Walls (soiigs), Bro. H. R. M'lsaacs (stories), Bro. M. Johnson (violin solo), and Bros. C. R. Williamsbn, J. W. Pringle, R. E. M'Dougall, G. H. Bridges (quartet). Under the capable direction of Bro. J. Clark, tho Orphans’ Club Orchestra rendered several entertaining selections.
