WRESTLING

COX-RUMBER6 B6UT Some wrestlers have the happy knack of making an immediate hit with the public as soon as they open up operations in the Dominion, and such, a one is “ King Kong ” Cox, who is to make his second appearance at Dunedin next Saturday night, when his opponent will be the popular Hal Rumberg. Coxs performances since the night he created his initial surprise by beating John Spellman at Auckland, have given rise to countless sensations. It is realised that in meeting Rumberg Cox will be facing just about as tough a proposition as could be matched with him from among the .wrestlers available at the present time. The first time New Zealanders saw Rumberg in the 1933 season, they recognised in him a wrestler of outstanding quality, and there was consequently a warm welcome awaiting him when he arrived for his second visit. In the past few weeks he has shown that he is an even finer wrestler than he was four years ago, and there are not many who can go out against him with complete confidence. In addition to his fine physique and Ins outstanding wrestling _ qualities, Rumberg has a great asset in his perfect fitness, and it is this quality that will probably serve him well against the rugged and aggressive Cox.
