TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Bearing on your article of last night, I should like to mention a point which has had little or no attention. Even if the magnetic brake did fail, there is a possibility, amounting to a probability in my mind, that the car would have kept to the rails had the curve at the font of the grade been canted sufficiently for a speed of 30 miles an hour.
