When carrying bananas for the Maui Pomare, the Gold Star Transport Company’s lorry overturned while passing through the village of Afega. Two Samoans, owners of the bananas, who were travelling with tho lorry, were fatally injured. The driver, Leslie Jessop, was not seriously injured. The accident was caused by a large pig suddenly crossing _ the_ road. Tho drivel 1 swerved to avoid hitting it.
