OLD CONTEMPTIBLE’S DEATH
COLLAPSES ON PARADE [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, April 26. An. elderly man, Mr Thomas Senior, of Opawa, collapsed yesterday and died almost immediately as he was taking part in the Anzac Day parade in the city. Mr Senior, who served with the Old, Contemptibles in the Great War, and who was a South African War veteran, had been receiving medical attention for some months. >' Yesterday, as the Anzac procession was passing through Victoria Square, he was apparently taken ill. He fell out from the ranks and collapsed.
