Wairuna sailed on Saturday for Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Fiji, Apia, Papeete, San Francisco, and Vancouver. Hororata arrived on Saturday afternoon from Wellington to load for Hook of Holland and London. She will sail on Thursday evening for Timaru and Lyttelton to complete loading, and is due at London on June 15. Cape Horn was expected to arrive this afternoon from Vancouver via ports, and is to sail to-morrow afternoon for Melbourne and Sydney. Cumberland, from west coast of England ports, is due here to-morrow afternoon, via northern ports, to sail about Friday for Bluff. Port Brisbane left Auckland on April 23 for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers, and is due here on May 3, to sail on May 5 for London via Cape Horn. , . Awatea left Sydney on April 16 for Auckland, where she arrived on April 21, to sail for Sydney, w’here she arrived on Saturday and sailed the same day for Wellington. Waitaki left Wellington on April 8 for Lyttelton and Dunedin, taking over the Marama’s run. She arrived here on April 10, and sailed the same day for Bluff and Melbourne. She left Melbourne on April 21 for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington, commencing a three-weekly schedule. She is duo to-morrow, to sail the same day for Lyttelton, Wellington, Bluff, and Melbourne. Waikouaiti left Bluff on April 6 for New Zealand ports. She has loaded at Newcastle and Sydney for Bluff, Dunedin, Tiraaru, and Lyttelton, and arrived here on Friday, to sail to-mor-row afternoon. MATAROA’S DEPARTURE, The Shaw, Savill liner Mataroa is now scheduled to clear Wellington finally at 5 p.m. to-day for Southampton and London via the Panama Canal, Kingston, and Curacao. WAITAKI LEAVES MELBOURNE. Cabled advice has been received by the Union Company that the Waitaki left Melbourne on Wednesday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She was due at Bluff to-day. The Waitaki has, for southern ports, transhipments ex Orford and Templar. MARAMA LEAVES SYDNEY. The Union Company has received cabled advice that the Marama, with cargo only, left Sydney on Wednesday for Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton. _ She was due at Auckland this morning. COPTIC’S ALTERED ITINERARY. Due to delays at New Plymouth by rain, the loading itinerary of the Shaw, Savill motor ship Coptic has been rearranged. She was to leave New Plymouth to-day for Bluff, Port Chalmers, Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton to fill up. The Coptic is now due at Wellington on May 8, and is scheduled to clear Lyttelton finally on May 14 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow via Cape Horn,

BRISBANE MARU LATER. The O.S.K. Line motor ship Brisbane Maru was due at Wellington yesterday from Dunedin to continue her loading. She was to leave again to-day for Napier and Auckland to fill up, and is now to clear Auckland on April 29 for Japanese ports via Hongkong and Shanghai. ROTORUA DELAYED. The Rotorua, which was scheduled to leave London on April 29 for Auckland and Wellington, is now to leave on May 3, arriving at Auckland on June 13, and at Wellington about Juno 18. WESTRALIA’S QUICK DISCHARGE. The new motor ship Westralia arrived at Auckland on her maiden voyage on Tuesday night. She berthed on Wednesday morning at King’s wharf to discharge 1,000 tons of sulphur from Galveston. This was completed in the early afternoon, and the ship left in the evening for New Plymouth to complete discharge. lONIC’S BELL WILL RING.

Recently presented to the Auckland War Memorial Museum, the bell from the well-known Shaw Savill and Albion liner lonic is not to remain in mute display when it is placed in the museum. Its ring will echo through the building at closing .hour, when its striking will be a signal that the building must be cleared. This useful and fitting purpose to which the historic memento will be put was announced at a meeting of the Auckland Institute and Museum Council last week. The president, Sir Garrick Robertson, said that the mayor (Mr Ernest Davis) had promised to have a spitable stand provided, and the bell of the lonic will take the place of a Burmese gong for use in ringing the clearing signal.
