COMPANY PLANS EXTENSION

RUGBY, April 2%. Plans of steel works extensions t» cost £2,500,000 have been announced bv Colvilles Ltd., a Scottish steel company with a capital of £6,000,000. The shheme' is that the company should erect coke ovens to produce about 7,000 tons of coke per week, and two additional blast furnaces capable of producing about 3,500 tons of pig iron per week, along with plant far hand, ling ore and extensions in the shap* of plate mills and smelting furnaces. It is stated that when these are completed the output of steel in _ Scotland will be increased to the highest level in history.
