WHITE PINE FOR DAIRY INDUSTRY REPLY TO AUSTRALIAN COMPLAINT [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 23. The necessity for the New Zealand dairying industry to have first call on the Dominion’s white pine resource* was emphasised by the Commissioner of State Forests (Mr Langstone) when commenting on the cablegram from Sydney referring to restrictions on the export of timber from this country tn^ Australia. , . , , , “ The dairy industry is of such great importance to New Zealand that its requirements must first be met. <> • have told the Australian people that w* must conserve our white pme supplies, and see to it that our own demand* are met before any is exported.
