COUNCIL COMMITTEES

REPRESENTATIVES OF EMPLOYEES UNIONS MAKE SELECTIONS The Finance Committee of the City Council reports that, pursuant to _ instructions from council, arrangements were made for a ballot to be taken of the employees in the several departments for the election of representatives to sit on tho standing committees. Written nominations from the employees were called in the first instance and the ballot was conducted by post. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes in each case are as follows: Library department: Miss E. D. Bryant (unopposed). E.P. and L. department: Mr Alfred Wheeler. Tramways department: Mr Arthur H. Cameron. Gas department: Mr Thomas Urquhart. Reserves department: Mr Albert H. Crust. Works department: Mr George E. Ayres. Water department: Mr Allan R. Anthony. The committee recommends that the above-mentioned employees’ representatives be appointed to sit on the standing committees controlling their respective departments.
