UNIVERSAL ANNIVERSARY DAY.
LAST MONDAY OF JANUARY SUGGESTED [Pee United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, April 22. Agreement with the principle ,of a uniform Dominion Anniversary Day, but disagreement with the dai© suggested hy the Auckland Chamber of. Commerce, was expressed by the Associated Chambers of Commerce in i a letter received by the council of the Auckland Chamber. The Auckland Chamber had suggested that a uniform Anniversary Day be held on the last Monday in July, but the Associated Chambers favoured January 2. , . . On the recommendation of the executive, it was decided to thank th€ Associated Chambers for agreeing to the principle of a uniform holiday, but to urge that the date be the last Monday in January, as it was thought that the adoption of January 2 was impracticable.
