ROYAL MALE CHOIR

Hr V. E. Galway and his choir of 70 concert singers have been singularly fortunate in their concerts in the past, and to-night, in the Town Hall, when Dr Galway will sever his active connection with the Royal Dunedin Male Choir, ho will have only 14 singers ot those whom he conducted 17 years ago at the first concert in Dunedin. During the intervening period he has introduced hundreds of new songs to -the music lovers of this city, in addition to the old favourites of this popular organisation. To-night the programme will include a beautiful selection ot folk songs, glees, and part songs, nxteispersed with vocal and instrumental items. The woman vocalist will be Miss Ruth D. Sell, the tenor Mr Alfred Wahnsley, and the baritone Mr John W. G. Pringle. A duet will he given bv Messrs L. and R. Dunbar, and a male quartet—Messrs John Kennedy, David F. Inglis, John Pringle, and Leslie J. Dunbar—will render two items In the concluding part of tbo programme Mr T. Vernon Griffiths will he heard at the organ accompanying tbo choir’s final item.
