The headless ghost of a guillotined murderer who was executed two months ago is terrifying the village of St. Auvent, near Limoges. The wife and two children of the murderer reported eerie noises, including knocks, loud, stamping, the rattle of chains, and the chihk of broken glass from a garret between 9 p.m. and, midnight every.night. Armed police kept vigil and heard the noises, _ which ceased when the police investigated, and recommenced when the search ceased. It is stated that noises have been less violent since holy water was sprinkled in the garret;
