LAWRENCE CLUB’S MEETING At the annual meeting of the Lawrence Football Club Dr W. Sutherland presided over a good attendance. The annual report and the balance sheet, which were considered very satisfactory, were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr W. J. Suters; president, Dr W. Sutherland; vicepresidents—Messrs R. P, C. M. Jackman, J. Deans, R. G. Drummond, A. L. Hart, E. A. Winchester, D. Stewart, J. Colgan, H. -Hollands, T. W, Parkhill, N. D. Potts, and B. Stanton; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr R. G. Drummond; delegates to South Tuapeka Sub-union, Messrs R. F„ Batchelor and C. M, Jackman; auditor, Mr A. M‘Lean; club captain, Mr P. E. Moodie; coach, Mr R. G. ’ Dfummdtid; Management Committee’ —Messrs .Batchelpr, Jqckman, Donohue, Moodie, Cavanagh, Deans, Colgan, Moyle, and" Hogg;’ selectors—the coach, the team captain, and Mr Jackman. ' A fairly strong team’ is assured for the coming season, but the departure of players from the district and the non-observance of tho Saturday halfholiday will have a hampering effect. The first match in tho South Tuapeka banner competition will be played on Saturday, when Tuapeka Mouth will visit Lawrence.
