CHILDREN'S BENEFIT CONCERT
The Children’s Cheer Committee of the South Dunedin Unemployed Association will present a benefit concert in the Concert Chamber tomorrow evening. The programme, which is being arranged and presented by Mr Ernest Drake, will be supplied by several well-known artists. Tho stage will bo tastefully decorated, and the accompaniments will be played by Mrs E. Drake. The hall will be comfortably heated, and altogether an enjoyable evening’s entertainment should be provided. The object of the function is to raise funds for the purpose of providing a picnic and day s outing in the country for the children of members of the association. Special charges of admission have been made permissible by arrangement with the city council, and seats may he booked at a small extra charge. Reservations may be made by telephone 11-843 between the hours of 6.30 and 8 o’clock on the night of the performance only.
