NEW VAUDEVILLE SEASON
Probably the most popular revue comedian who has visited this city -in recent years is George - Wallace, and the announcement that this versatile artist will begin a season at His Majesty’s Theatre on Monday, March 22, will please and interest his many local admirers. The inimitable George packs houses wherever he goes, and it is with every confidence in success that Connors and Paul Revue Company will present him at tbs °f their new. show. One' of ■ the most, (popular companies to tour the . Dominion in recent years, it has attracted considerable attention, and exceptionally large audiences wherever it has played. Vaudeville at its best is presented in /the new offering. Past-moving scenes, . amusing sketches, delightful singing, and popular dancing numbers are included in the entertainment provided by the company. In addition to the well-known u Mike ” Connors and “ Queenie ” Paul ” themselves, there are Minnie Love, the musical comedy favourite, who has just returned from London, and Nellie Kolle, the dashing “ naval officer,” with her swinging chorus songs. Then there are Lulla Fanning, the smart comedienne, Leo Trenette, Australia’s foremost tenor, the “ Marcella Trio ” (adagio dancers), Jimmy Coates (crooning saxophonist), Delaney and Butt (Tyrolean dancers), Laurel Streeter (soubrette), the “ Moreni’s,” Rex and Bessie (whirlwind dancers), the Russell Bros, (amazing acrobats), Lock and Hardy, (stylish tappers), and Will Miller (character comedian). Another big feature of the show is the dancing and of the “ Sunkist Beauties,” a smart bevy of ballet girls.
