ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
FATAL INJURY. Knocked down last evening by a taxi (the driver being L. Harris) at Dannevirke, Charles Mitchell (73), a farmer, of Ruaroa, sustained injuries from which he died in Dannevirke Hospital less than two hours later. ■■■■ Drizzling rain was falling at the time of the accident, visibility was poor, and Mitchell was crossing the street, . apparently with his back to the approach-i ing taxi. —Press Association.
