NORTHERN CLUB rSFTIETH ANNUAL MEETING The fiftieth annual meeting of the Northern Association Football Club was held in the club’s pavilion■ last evening, the president (Mr J. C. Rigby) presiding over an attendance of 50 members. Referring to the past season, the Chairman said that the club, from all points of view, had experienced a very satisfactory year. The second grade team had been the most successful, sharing the top position in its grade with two other clubs. In representative fixtures the club had been honoured by the selection of Lankford Smith and A. Sutherland Of the seniors and R. -M'Lean, J. Wheeler, H. Cullen, D. Wallace, and N. Bennie for the Otago juniors. Speaking of the coming jubilee of the club, he thought that members were to be congratulated on being the first club playing the roundball game in New Zealand to enter on its fiftieth year of existence. During this period the club had an unbroken playing record and had made a fine name for itself, whilst many of its members had risen to New Zealand and Otago_ representative honours. A strong committee had been working, he said, to celebrate the occasion in a fitting manner, and the functions arranged for were assured of success. These functions would be held during Easter, the first one taking place on Easter Satxir-
day. In conclusion, the Chairman said a special vote of thanks was due to Mr H. J. Duncan, who was compiling a record of the club, which' would bo published in book form and distributed during the celebrations. The annual report and balance sheet, showing a credit balance of £lO 16s Bd, were adopted. The following office-bearers were elected:—Patron, Mr H. J. Duncan; president, Mr J. C.
