OTAGO CROQUET TOURNAMENT

FINAL OF HANDICAP DOUBLES This morning, in perfect croquet weather, the tourney started off with 12 lawns filled with eager players. The final of the handicap doubles was played out between the Opoho pair, Mrs Colo and J. Nichol, and the Watea pair, Mesdames Anderson and Gillanders. The former had to concede three bisques, which the Watea pair mr.de good use of. Mr Nichol was just not able to strike form, and a rather long drawn-out game ended in favour of Watea by 13 points.
