(Received February 19, at 11 a.m.) A British column on a routine march west of Wana, Waziristan, was attacked by tribesmen. One British and one Indian soldier were killed and a British officer and five Indian soldiers wounded. Tbo column engaged the tribesmen and inflicted casnalities. LEAD BY NOTORIOUS RAIDER. (Received February 19, at 1.5 p.m.) The Delhi correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ says the assailants of the British column were led by Guljan, a notorious bad character, who was seeking to avenge the death of his brother, another raider, who was killed in attacking a British post in 1933.
