Mrs May Hope, once a prominent actress and the former wife of Lord Hope, owner of the famous diamond, has been sent to an institution, due to her mental condition, which caused her several times to attempt to leap from a bus. When interviewed, institution officials scoffed at the idea that she was the victim of a legendary curse.
