A DINNER PARTY FDR OLD HORSES
VETERANS WHINNY THEIR THANKS Grey Boy, a veteran of 29 years, gave the signal lor the start of the annual New Year dinner party for the inmates of the Home of Best for Horses at Boreham Wood, Herts, one day last month; Grey Boy was . champion jumper of Ireland a dozen years ago. He put his head out of his box and gave several vigorous tugs at the rope of the dinner bell. At this signal nearly 100 shaggy heads were thrust out of the boxes, and there was excited whinnying as the grooms went round with trucks filled with carrots, apples, and sugar and gave each animal a liberal allowance. . Many supporters of the home were present k> watch the horses, ponies, and donkeys enjoy their parly.
