(Received February 19, at 1.5 p.m.) The Lille correspondent states that groat anxiety is felt in the Lille, Rou« baix, and Tourcoing textile industry, which is threatened with stagnation owing to the rise in production costs due to the 40-hour week, practically preventing the export ot French textiles, while the Belgians and Chechoslovakians are selling at 10 to 20 per cent, below the French owing to the removal of tariffs and quotas.
