(Received February 18, at 11 a.m.) The British Boxing Board of Control has announced that it refuses to renew George Cook’s license. This may prevent Cook from carrying out his plan for a fight to celebrate his silver jubilee as a professional.. He assumes he is banned because he is too old. He says: “lam still fit, and am not going to be stopped by a lot of 'men judging me by the average boxers aged 39 who do not live right. If the Press after the next fight say I am washed up and through I am prepared to quit gladly.”
