ENGINE-DRIVERS' DISPUTE [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 16An agreement on the clauses dealing with the hours of work and certain conditions of employment was reached today, when the Wellington, Taranaki, Nelson, and Marlborough engine drivers and their assistants met Bond’s Hosiery Mills (N.Z.) Ltd., Wellington, and other employers in the Conciliation Council. The clauses governing holidays, overtime, and wages were held over for discussion to-morrow. The ordinary hours of work will be 40 a week, to bo worked between 8 a.m. and 0 p.m. from Monday to Friday inclusive, except in such factories, works, nr industries where the ordinary hours were in excess of 40, when the hours of work for workers coming within the scope of the award should be those hours observed in such employment.
