REOPENING OF CHURCHES DEMANDED PEOPLE TAKE MAHER INTO CWK HARDS ' 1 resg Asjociation—By Telegraph—Copyright MEXICO CITY, February 12. Disorder and the use of troops are reported at Orizaba. Thousands of Catholics poured into the town demanding the reopening of the churches. Several persons were hurt when a pillar in one church fell when crowds broke open the doors. Later a group entered another church which had been converted into a fire department and rolled away the engines. Troops finally ousted the invaders, who were carrying banners inscribed “We die,
but God never dies.” Twenty thousand persons held menacing manifestations around the Town Hall, leading the authorities to announce that some churches would be permitted to reopen. Fourteen thousand persons broke into the churches at Cordoba and rang the bells exnltantlv.
