MITATION FOR RETURN BRITISH LIBERAL LEADER'S VIEWS ■JPrass Association —By Telegraph-Copyright LONDON, February 11. «Germany’s claims to colonies and mandates should be considered,” declared Sir Archibald Sinclair, the Liberal leader, at Pontypridd. “The attainment of real, lasting peace depends mainly on our power to convince Herr Hitler chat we are loyal to the League and firmly resolved to join other peace-lovers in to aggression, and convince Herr Hitler that ivo wish to co-operato with Germany on the basis of equality and fully consider her colonial and other grievances, subject to indispensable conditions that there will be a general peace settlement, involving Germany agreeing to join in a measure of international disarmament, submit all international disputes to arbitration, grant all nations, including Russia, equality of rights and the status she herself demands, andi. give the natives of any restored colony the same guarantees against exploitation, conscription, and militarism a? in the mandates, and guaranteeing an open door for trade. Germany is entitled to claim similar guarantees from others.”
