Countryside Cameo,—The swooping swallows swiftly dart; the corncrake’s croak is heard, and early worms, unless they’re smart,, are apt to get the bird. With longer days come shorter nights; the woods show deeper greens; the gardener’s dreams take lofty flights—as far as broader beans.
