At 12.55 a fire in Bradshaw street was extinguished by the brigade. The Awatea left Sydney for Auckland on Friday last with 14 bags of mail for Dunedin. The mail includes the London-Singapore air mail despatched on February 1. The air mail should be to hand at 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday next, and the remainder of the mail the same afternoon.
