SUNDAY SERVICES

At First Church' the Rev. W. Allen Stevely’s morning subject will be ‘ The Proper Study,’ and in the evening ‘ The Solution of Christ.’ At the evening service the choir will sing the anthem ‘ O be Joyful in the Lord ’ (Wood). Dr Galway will be at the organ. Retiring collection for Sunday school’s picnic fund. The Rev. D. C. Herron, M.A., will conduct both .services at Knox Church. His evening subject will be ‘ All Things are Yours.’ ‘ How are we Saved—By Faith or Works?’ will be the subject at the morning service in St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, and * The Insistent Question ’ will be the subject in the evening. At both services the preacher will be the Rev. Thomas Miller. The services at Dundas Street Methodist Church will be conducted in the morning by Student Ashleigh K. Fetch, and in the evening by the Rev. I. Williamson, of Roslyn Methodist Church. Services at the Methodist Central Mission will be conducted by the Rev. B. M. Tasker. In the evening Mr Tasker will preach on * The Fool Hath Said,’ and Mr Aubrey Clarke will be the soloist. The preachers at St. Hilda Methodist Church are the Rev. T. Skuse in the morning, and Mr C. H. Olds in the evening. The Rev. J. Ewen Simpson will conduct the services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church, speaking in the morning on ‘ From Report to Experience,’ and in the evening on ‘ Undetected Losses.’ In the morning the choir will present the hymn study Hark, My Soul! It is the Lord,’ and a trio will sing ‘ A Christian’s Blessing.’ In the evening the anthem will bo ‘ O Sing Unto the Lord.’ Preliminary notice is given that the Sunday school will reopen on Sunday, February 28. At Caversham Baptist Church the Rev. R. L. Fursdon will conduct the services. The morning subject is ‘ Praying People,’ and at night ‘ Refuge.’ The choir will render the anthem ‘ Awake, Put on Strength.’ The services at the North-east Valley Baptist Church will bo conducted by the Rev. James K. Reid, the subjects being ‘ A Prehistoric Conflict ’ and ‘ What the Cross Stands for.’ ‘ Security ’ will bo the subject to-morrow morning at the United Congregational Church, Albany street, and in the evening the Rev. C. G. Hcdley Bycroft will give ‘ Reasons for Glorying in the Gospel.’ The solo ‘ Jubilate ’ will be rendered by Miss Sara Couper during the evening service. Both services of Divine Worship at Moray Place Congregational Church will be conducted by the Rev. Albert Mead. At the evening service the anthem will be ‘My Soul Doth Magnßy the Lord ’ (Pittman), and a solo will be sung by Mr W. E. Snow. At the Theosophical Society Mr J. Patterson, master of Vasanta Garden School, Auckland, will speak on ‘ Tho Tragedy of Education,’ also outlining tho work of Vasanta School. Mr J. M. M’Ewan will be the speaker at the Spiritualist Church at 6.30, Ins subject being ‘ A Student of Hidden Things.’ The Healing Centro will meet on Monday at 8 o’clock. At tho Greater World Christian Spiritual Mission Divine service will be held at 7 p.m. A trance address will bo given through the speaker, tho Rev. Gertrude Brooks. Spiritual clairvoyance and after circle will follow. At the Salvation Army Adjutant and Mrs Victor Dick will speak at 11 a.m. on 1 When Dreams Como True,’ at 3 p.m. on ‘ Showing Up Satan,’ and at 7 p.m. on ‘ The Uncertainty of Life.’
