CRICKET ASSOCIATION'S DIAMOND JUBILEE
The Otago Cricket Association is soon to celebrate its diamond jubilee. It was considered appropriate to do so during the progress of the Otago r, Canterbury match, Canterbury being this province’s oldest rival, therefore, the Otago v. Canterbury match to be played at Carisbrook on February 19, 20, 22, and 23, will form part of the jubilee celebrations. It is hoped that there will be a large turn-out of past and present players at this match, and many old acquaintances will be renewed. On Saturday evening a smoke concert will be held in the Pioneer Hall at 8 o’clock, when some interesting reminiscences will, no doubt, he related. It is hoped that there will be a large attendance at this function. On Sunday evening a church service will be held in the First Church. Those attending are asked to assemble inside the church gates at 6.15.
