“THREE-DAY SICKNESS"
EPIDEMIC AMONG COWS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright BRISBANE, January 7. What is described as “ three-day sickness ” has broken out among the dairy herds of Queensland. At least 70 or 80 per cent, are affected, but the mortality, fortunately, is low. Government officials express the opinion that the infection possibly began with a flying insect introduced from Java by one of the many aeroplanes arriving in Australia. It has been established that the sickness was carried by an insect with a very wide range of flight. A Government investigation is proceeding
