AGREEMENT REACHED
DISPUTE WITH MARTHA MINE CO. [Per-United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, January 6. An agreement satisfactory to both parties was reached at a late hour tonight in the dispute between six members of the South Auckland Engine Drivers’ Union and the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi) Ltd., about the extra yearly payment which has been made to the men since 1925, and ivhich the men did not get this year. Work in the Martha mine and the company’s battery at Waikino will start to-morrow morning. The negotiations took place during the day, and a solution was not reached until to-night.
